SUNY's graduate institute for international relations and commerce, established in memory of 9/11.
The Neil D. Levin Graduate Institute of International Relations and Commerce was established in late 2001 by Governor George Pataki and the State of New York as a memorial to Neil D. Levin, the executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, who died in the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center. The institute is part of the State University of New York system and serves as the 65th institution within SUNY.
The institute is located in Manhattan, New York City, and is housed in the historic William and Helen Ziegler House, which is now known as the SUNY Global Center. This location positions the institute in the heart of New York's international business and diplomatic hub.
