About
K.S. Institute of Technology (KSIT) was born on 11 October 1999, out of a commitment to providing value-based technical education. It is a private institution run by the Kammavari Sangham, which was established in 1952. KSIT is located at No.14, Raghuvanahalli, Kanakapura Road, Bengaluru - 560109. Its vision is to impart quality technical education with ethical values, employable skills and research to achieve excellence.
Academics
KSIT is an autonomous institution under VTU and is approved by AICTE. Its undergraduate programmes include Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineering, Computer Science and Design, Computer and Communication Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Postgraduate programmes include M.Tech in CSE and MCA. The institution has a K S Research & Innovation Foundation (KSRIF). Undergraduate admission is through UGCET (KEA), UGET (COMEDK) and Management Quota, and postgraduate admission is through PGCET and Management Quota.
Campus & Facilities
The campus is completely surrounded by CCTV cameras and is completely Wi-Fi enabled. Facilities listed include seminar halls, laboratories, a placement cell, a multi-cuisine food court, campus stores, indoor and outdoor sports and cultural facilities, and hostels. The library is a two-storey building filled with resources and also has a digital library facility, along with a reading hall.
Recognition
Its CSE and ECE programmes are accredited by NBA. KSIT was categorised as a Band C institution, securing a rank between the top 50 and 75 in the 'Private or Self-Financed College/Institutes' category in ARIIA 2020. Team Pegasus from KSIT won first prize of Rs. 1 Lakh in the Smart India Hackathon 2023.
