History

KNS Institute of Technology was established in 2001 by Sri Late C.K Jaffer Sharief, Former Union Railway Minister, Govt. of India, in memory of his son, Late Sri Khader Nawaz Sharief. The institute was inaugurated on 17th October 2002.

Academics

The institute is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Karnataka, and recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It offers 12+ programs and has a team of 60+ trainers. Campus & Facilities

The campus has separate blocks for every program, along with hostels for boys and girls. The KNSIT Library and Information Centre offers reading spaces and e-resources through the VTU Consortium. Faculty and students are members of IEEE, and there is an IETE-Student Chapter on campus.

The certificate was issued on February 27, 2025 and is valid up to February 26, 2030.

Admissions

Admission routes include KCET, COMEDK, and management quota. Out-of-state students may apply through COMEDK, JEE, or the management quota.
