Academics
KBIPER offers comprehensive pharmaceutical education across four degree levels: Bachelor of Pharmacy (4 years, 100 seats), Master of Pharmacy (2 years, 75 seats across 5 specializations), Doctor of Pharmacy (6 years, 30 seats), and Ph.D. programs. The curriculum emphasizes didactic lectures, laboratory teaching, case studies, industry interaction, and research projects. The institute has 30 PhD faculty members with 8-25 years of experience and maintains six specialized M.Pharm tracks: Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Quality Assurance, Pharmacy Practice, Regulatory Affairs, and Post-baccalaureate Pharm.D.
Campus & Infrastructure
The 20,000 square meter campus is located in Gandhinagar, approximately 27 km from Ahmedabad. The institute features 15 multimedia-enabled air-conditioned classrooms, 17 well-ventilated laboratories, a centrally air-conditioned library with 15,000+ books and journals, separate boys' and girls' hostels, 24/7 Wi-Fi connectivity, 24/7 CCTV security, and an auditorium. Additional facilities include an animal house, medicinal plants garden, playground, bank, and guest house.
Admissions
Undergraduate programs (B.Pharm and Pharm.D) require 12th Science qualification and admission through ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses). Postgraduate M.Pharm programs require B.Pharm qualification and ACPC admission, with preference for GPAT-qualified students who are eligible for AICTE scholarships. Ph.D. programs require M.Pharm qualification and passing the university-conducted Ph.D. Entrance exam as per UGC directives. No management quota seats are available; all admissions are merit-based through ACPC.
Placements & Outcomes
The institute maintains a dedicated Placement Committee and Industry Institute Interaction Cell for systematic recruitment activities. Students are placed in pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organizations, hospitals, and scientific process outsourcing companies. Eighty percent of postgraduate students secured placement during 2013-2014 in reputed organizations. Over 500 alumni are settled abroad, reflecting strong international career outcomes.
Facilities & Support
The institute provides hostel accommodation with separate facilities for boys and girls, offering both AC and non-AC options with mess facilities. Transport is available from Ahmedabad and Kadi to Gandhinagar. Merit and need-based scholarships are available, along with a book bank facility for students. Each student is assigned a mentor, and the college operates from 9 AM to 4 PM (Saturday 9 AM to 2 PM).
