Kansas's newest osteopathic medical school, training D.O. physicians since 2022.
KansasCOM offers a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree program. The school is organized under Kansas Health Science University and received accreditation approval from the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation in December 2021. The inaugural class was admitted for the 2022–23 academic year, making it a newly established institution in the osteopathic medical education landscape.
The first graduating class in 2026 demonstrated strong residency placement outcomes, with 73 of 75 eligible students (97%) successfully matched into residency programs. This high match rate reflects the quality of clinical training and preparation provided by the institution.
The college holds accreditation with warning status from the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation. As a newly established institution, the school continues to develop its academic and clinical infrastructure to meet full accreditation standards.
