KCKCC offers degrees and certificates across five academic divisions: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Health Professions and Public Safety; Career and Technical Education; Math, Science, Business and Technology; and Academic Support and Assessment. The college provides transfer pathways to four-year institutions, honors education programs, and workforce innovation training. Notable programs include nursing (added 1970), mortuary science, exercise science, and audio engineering, with students receiving recognition from DownBeat Magazine for music and audio engineering achievements.
The main campus is located at 7250 State Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, with additional locations including the Pioneer Career Center in Leavenworth and the Dr. Thomas R. Burke Technical Education Center. Campus facilities include the Learning Commons library, Performing Arts Center, Field House, Student Success Center, Wellness and Fitness Center, Blue Devil Café, and on-campus housing via Centennial Hall. Students participate in 8 NJCAA sports teams competing in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference, with the mascot being the Blue Devils.
KCKCC accepts applications for fall and spring semesters with rolling admissions. The college participates in federal financial aid programs including Pell Grants, SEOG, Federal Work Study, and Stafford Loans.
