JCC offers more than 60 degree and certificate programs organized into four career communities: Business, Arts, & Humanities; Healthcare & Wellness; Social Engagement; and STEM. The college maintains a dual mission of providing transfer-ready programs for students continuing to four-year institutions and career-ready programs for workforce entry. Programs include nursing (accredited by ACEN), occupational therapy assistant (accredited by ACOTE), and technical training. The college is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
JCC operates three residence halls (Hillside Suites) housing 340 students in suite-style living with single and double bedrooms. The Jamestown Campus features the Scharmann Theatre for cultural events and the Weeks Gallery, which houses works including an Andy Warhol Marilyn Monroe serigraph and a Louise Nevelson bronze. Students engage through Student Senate, Campus Activity Board, 100+ internship opportunities, and intercollegiate athletics (NJCAA Region III, WNYAC). The college supports military students, international students, and adult learners with dedicated services.
JCC does not require SAT or ACT scores for admission. The college welcomes first-time college students, transfer students, adult learners, military students, international students, and out-of-state students. Online application is available, and the college offers individual course registration options. Financial aid is available to 80% of students, with over half graduating debt-free. Admissions staff are available at both the Jamestown and Olean campuses.
JCC's Jayhawks compete in NJCAA Region III and the Western New York Athletic Conference, fielding teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming/diving, volleyball, and wrestling. Career Services provides job placement support, internship coordination, and employer partnerships. The college reports 200+ transfer agreements with four-year institutions and offers 100+ internship and career exploration opportunities annually.
