About
Jain Institute of Technology is located at No-323, Near Veereshwar Punyashrama, BADA Cross, Avaragere Village, Davanagere – 577003, adjacent to NH-4. The institute was started in 2011 by the Jain Group of Institutions, which has served society for 23 years through its educational services. Its vision is technical manpower development to build professionally excellent, globally competitive, socially responsible engineers and entrepreneurs with human values.
Academics
The institute offers BE, MBA and Doctoral Programs. Engineering departments include Computer Science & Engineering, Information Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, along with the Master of Business Administration. Its stated mission is to provide quality education through innovation in teaching to create technologically competent engineers.
Recognition
The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi and the Government of Karnataka. NBA accreditation has been achieved for three UG programmes: CSE, ECE and EEE. It has also been recognized as a Host Institution of MSME by the Ministry of Industries and Commerce, New Delhi, and has achieved UGC 2(f) status under the UGC Act 1956.

The campus has a 500 Mbps internet-enabled WiFi facility and solar rooftop energy generation of 50 kW. Listed facilities include a library, digital library and e-resources, a boys hostel with dining hall, gym, sports room, medical emergency service and free Wi-Fi, and transportation. The IPR cell collaborates with KSCST, Government of Karnataka, to promote innovation and research.
