About
Iswar Saran Degree College (ISDC) is a public constituent college of the University of Allahabad, located on Salori–Govindpur Link Road in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The college was established in 1970 and is animated by the basic goal and spirit of its founder and its ancestral institution. Its mission is to cater to the higher educational needs of youths from socially and economically deprived and disadvantaged groups.
History
The college came into existence in 1970 under the aegis of Harijan Sewak Sangh, founded by the late Munshi Iswar Saran, a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi who visited the campus twice. The ancestral institution, Harijan Sewak Sangh (Iswar Saran Ashram), was established in 1933, and the society was later renamed Iswar Saran Ashram as a tribute to its founder. The B.Com affiliation was sanctioned in 1976, and a Science Faculty offering B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science was added in 1994.
Academics
The college offers courses from undergraduate to Ph.D. across five faculties: Arts, Science, Commerce, B.Voc, and Law, according to the Principal's message. The institution reports 36 departments. Its vision is to become a cohesive centre of excellence producing manpower with innovative perception and adaptability. The college is specially committed to the higher education of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and marginalised sections of society.
Campus & Facilities
The college offers a compact, green four-acre campus. Library and academic resources include the Prof. Pramila Srivastava Memorial Library, an E-Library, a Reference Library, a Book Bank, OPAC, WebOPAC, and an e-Resource Centre with internet service. Campus facilities include a Wi-Fi network, basketball, lawn tennis, and volleyball courts, and football fields.

Undergraduate admission is available through Non-CUET UG admission registration. The college is accredited with a B+ grade by NAAC and is recognised by the UGC.
