About IIIT Trichy
Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli (IIITT), also known as IIIT Trichy, is an Institute of National Importance established under the non-profit Public-Private Partnership model by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The institute is fully funded by the Government of India, Government of Tamil Nadu, and industry partners in a 50:35:15 ratio. Major industry partners include TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Ramco Systems, ELCOT, and Navitas.

Campus & Infrastructure
IIIT Trichy operates from its permanent campus at Sethurappatti on the Trichy-Madurai Highway since June 2021. The institute provides state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities supporting high-quality teaching, learning, and research. The campus is designed to foster a conducive environment for academic and research activities.
Collaborations
IIIT Tiruchirappalli has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat to foster collaboration in joint research, academic activities, and innovation. The MoU promotes collaborative academic programs, internship opportunities for B.Tech. and M.Tech. students, and joint research initiatives.
