Academics
IIIT-Delhi offers undergraduate B.Tech. programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and interdisciplinary variants (CSAM, CSD, CSB, CSSS). Postgraduate offerings include M.Tech. programs in CSE (with specializations in General, Information Security, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, AI), ECE (VLSI, Embedded Systems, ML, CPS), and Computational Biology. Ph.D. programs are available across all departments. PG Diploma programs in Data Science & AI and CS & AI (with Great Learning) provide alternative pathways. Research & Innovation
The institute operates multiple research centres and groups including the Centre for Intelligent Product Development, Center for Quantum Technologies, DataKart Centre of Excellence, Centre of Excellence in Healthcare, Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Mobility, Centre of Excellence on Light Fidelity, Centre for Design and New Media, Infosys Centre for AI, and Centre of Excellence in Human Computing. Campus & Infrastructure
The 25-acre permanent campus is located behind Phase III Okhla Industrial Estate, approximately 1 km from Okhla railway station in South Delhi. Facilities include 1 auditorium (500 capacity), 25 lecture halls of varying sizes, Faculty Housing Towers with 72 faculty houses, 4 hostels (2 boys' with 508 & 454 beds; 2 girls' with 404 & 394 beds), 22 married hostel accommodations for Ph.D. students, and a Library and Information Center. The Academic Complex houses 50 faculty offices and 8 research labs. Hostels feature air-conditioning, high-speed internet, and 24/7 medical cover via an on-campus infirmary. Sports facilities include badminton courts and table tennis, with a dining and recreation centre offering mess, cafeteria, ATM, and student activity spaces.
Placements & Outcomes
The institute maintains active placement and internship programs with dedicated placement statistics and recruiter engagement. Placement brochures and past statistics are published annually. The institute also supports higher studies pathways and maintains an active alumni network of 4,600 graduates. Startup support is provided through startup fairs and incubation initiatives via IHUB.
Admissions & Support
IIIT-Delhi admits students through B.Tech., M.Tech., Ph.D., and PG Diploma pathways. International student admissions are facilitated through a dedicated International Affairs Office. The institute offers scholarships and fellowships to support students. Student affairs include mentorship programs, well-being cells, student governance, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
