Hélicraft has operated since 1969 in the Montreal region. In 1969 it was the first school in Quebec dedicated solely to helicopters. In 2014, it became the property of Services Helicocorp INC. and regained its autonomy while keeping close ties with the main operators in Quebec. In 2024, it opened a second base in Magog in partnership with the AERIA complex.
In 2016, Hélicraft became the first school in Quebec to offer the AEC attestation in professional helicopter piloting. In 2024, the AEC program was extended from 705 to 915 hours of training. No entrance exam or minimum schooling level is required to enter helicopter pilot training in Canada. The school's team has over 10,000 hours of instruction and has trained more than 100 pilots in the last three years.
Applicants must submit an admission request and meet the eligibility requirements for the programs. A medical certificate is a prerequisite. No minimum schooling level is required.
