Gushkara Mahavidyalaya is located at P.O. Gushkara, Dist. Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal, PIN 713128. Gushkara is a municipal town in the northern part of Burdwan Sadar Sub-Division, situated 135 km from Kolkata.
History
The college was founded on 9th August, 1965 through the missionary zeal of the academician late Rakhahari Bakshi and generous support from prominent citizens of the locality.
Academics
The college is affiliated to The University of Burdwan and offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce, along with a postgraduate course in Bengali and a Certificate Course in Yoga. Seventeen subjects are available, of which sixteen are Honours/Major subjects and the rest are General/Minor subjects.
