Gurucharan College

Gurucharan College is a public institution in Silchar, established in 1935. Gurucharan College (G.C. College), established in 1935 in Silchar, is one of the oldest and most prominent colleges in the Barak Valley region of Assam. It has been affiliated to Assam University since 1994 and offers a wide range of UG and PG programmes in sciences, arts, and commerce. In 2023, the Government of Assam upgraded it to Gurucharan University under the Gurucharan University Act.
