In 2004-2005 the Tamil Nadu Government permitted the start of an MBA course. The M.Sc. in Computer Science was started in 2008-2009, and in 2012 new courses including B.A. History and B.Sc. Chemistry were started. The Department of History is part of the college's undergraduate offerings. Ph.D. programmes in Management and Electronics have been introduced.
The college contains a library and laboratories for several departments, kept separately. Sports and games facilities are available. Admission is through rank lists for both UG and PG courses for 2026-2027.
The college has been re-accredited by NAAC with a 'B' grade.
