GIM offers a comprehensive 2-year PGDM curriculum comprising 6 terms with 71 core credits and 48 elective credits. The pedagogy blends theory and practice through participatory classroom instruction, case-based learning, problem-solving, and fieldwork projects. Core areas include Finance & Accounting, General Management & Economics, IT & Operations, Marketing, and Organizational Behavior & HRM. Specialized tracks include Healthcare Management (HCM), Big Data Analytics (BDA), and Banking/Insurance/Financial Services (BIFS). The curriculum is regularly reviewed by an Academic Advisory Committee of industry and academic experts and follows AICTE guidelines.
GIM operates on over 50 acres of hi-tech campuses with modern facilities including 10 hostels for all students, a swimming pool, football ground, basketball court, and various sporting arenas. The campus accommodates over 900 students from across India and abroad. Classrooms are air-conditioned with ergonomical seating, LCD projectors, video recording, and video conferencing capabilities. The library houses over 24,000 management books. Campus infrastructure includes Wi-Fi at 1000 mbps, sustainability features such as solar power, rainwater harvesting, and natural garbage disposal systems.
Admission to GIM is purely merit-based with no donations or payments accepted. The PGDM program has a student intake of 300; HCM intake is 120; BDA intake is 180. The admission process includes application submission, shortlisting by a panel (with some candidates selected for an 'Achiever's Round'), written ability tests, and personal interviews held in February/March. For BDA, candidates must take the GIM Analytics Aptitude Test (GAAT) on 1 February 2026. Final admission results are announced in March, with academic sessions commencing in June 2026.
GIM's placement cell recorded strong outcomes for Batch 2023-25: highest package of ₹32.2 LPA, 15.61% pre-placement offers (PPOs), and highest internship stipend of ₹3,50,000. The PGDM batch (301 students) attracted 94 recruiters with 42 new partners. Sector-wise placement distribution: IT/ITES 29%, Engineering/Manufacturing 25%, BFSI 12%, FMCG/FMCD 6%, Consulting 3%, and Others 25%. Alumni have founded 20+ startups, and 150+ alumni hold senior positions in reputed companies.
GIM employs highly skilled and experienced faculty with 90% holding PhDs. Faculty are encouraged to pursue academic freedom, international exposure, and participation in faculty development programs. The institute supports research, consultancy, and innovation initiatives. Faculty have conducted consultancy projects with organizations including the World Health Organization, National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd.
