About
Global Institute of Information Technology is a private, self-financed institution located at 32-A, Knowledge Park-1, near Pari Chowk Metro Station, Greater Noida (NCR). It was established in 2002 by Global Education Trust, New Delhi, to offer graduate and postgraduate level educational programmes. The institute's vision is to emerge as a center of excellence for education and research comparable with the best in the world.
History
The institute was established by Global Education Trust, New Delhi in 2002. Late Prof (Dr.) Niranjan Singh is the founder of the institute, which is part of Global Institute of Education (GIE) and GIIT. The legacy is now carried forward by Dr. Vinod Singh, the current Chairperson.
Academics
The institute offers B.Tech programmes in Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Information Technology, along with MBA, MBA (Integrated), MCA, MCA (Integrated), BBA, BCA, BA, B.Com and B.Ed programmes. Its programmes are organised into three areas: Engineering & Computer Application, Management, and Humanities. The MBA and MCA integrated programmes are five-year (ten-semester) courses open to students after 12th grade. Programmes are approved by AICTE and affiliated to AKTU Lucknow and CCSU Meerut.
Campus & Facilities
The campus includes a Learning Hub, Library and Digital Resources, Laboratories, Cafeteria and Hostel. Listed facilities include a Computer Lab, Engineering Chemistry Lab, Engineering Physics Lab, Electrical Engineering Lab, Electronics Engineering Lab, Workshop Practice Lab, Engineering Graphics & Design Lab, Psychology Resource Centre and Communication Lab. The institute is located in Knowledge Park-I, an area earmarked by Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority for educational institutes.
