Genesee Community College offers over 75 associate degree and certificate programs, plus micro-credentials. The college features 54 HyFlex classrooms, 88 smart classrooms, 27 computer labs, and 8 science labs. Specialized facilities include Advanced Manufacturing and Skilled Trades Lab, Criminal Justice lab, Veterinary Tech lab, Solar Electric Technician lab, Nursing lab, Digital Arts Lab, and Computerized Drafting & Design Lab. Students can complete 16 fully online programs, and many transfer to four-year institutions after earning their associate degree.
The main Batavia campus spans 240 acres and includes the Stuart Steiner Performing Arts Center, Roz Steiner Art Gallery, Alfred C. O'Connell Library, and the Richard C. Call Arena with a multi-use field house and state-of-the-art fitness center. College Village provides suite and communal-style student housing. The college operates 14 intercollegiate men's and women's athletic teams (Cougars) competing in basketball, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, softball, golf, swimming, cheerleading, and volleyball through the NJCAA. Additional campus centers serve Medina, Warsaw, Dansville, and Arcade.
GCC accepts applications for degree-seeking and non-degree students. The college offers pathways for high school students through the Accelerated College Enrollment (ACE) program, which provides discounted tuition (one-third the cost) and allows students to earn high school and college credits simultaneously. International students have dedicated admissions support. The college also welcomes transfer students and offers non-matriculated registration for those taking individual courses.
Ninety-two percent of recent graduates begin their career or transfer to a four-year college. The college awards over 250 student scholarships annually and operates Career Services to support job search strategies, resume writing, interviewing skills, and career counseling. The BEST Center provides workforce development and customized training solutions for regional employers.
