Fr. Agnel College of Arts & Commerce is located in Pilar village in the North District of Goa, India. The college is situated about 300 metres from National Highway 17. Its campus covers a total area of 10 acres. The college is a minority institution founded under the provision of Article 30 of the Indian Constitution.
History
The college was established in June 1991 by the Xaverian Educational Society, Pilar. It belongs to the Society of Missionaries of St. Francis Xavier, commonly known as the Society of Pilar.
Mission and Values
The college's motto is 'Success lies in Honest Toil'. Its vision is to be an institution of excellence that builds competencies in all, irrespective of background. Its mission is to provide quality higher education to all, including socially, economically and academically challenged students. Its core values include Faith in God, Pursuit of Excellence, Love of others, Moral uprightness and Social Responsibility.
Academics
The college offers Bachelor of Commerce (NEP), Bachelor of Arts (NEP) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (NEP). It offers three UG courses and one Research Centre in Commerce, along with a wide choice of subject combinations. The college follows the Semester Choice Based Credit System. Prof. (Dr.) Annie Rajan is the Principal.
Admissions
Admission to first-year BA, BCom and BCA is merit-based and available online through the SAMARTH portal. BCA admission also includes an entrance test. The first round of online admission is conducted via the SAMARTH portal.
Recognition
The college is re-accredited by NAAC in its 3rd cycle with Grade A+ and a CGPA of 3.The college's team bagged first place in the Inter Collegiate Youth Parliament Speech Competition, RASHTRANITI 2026, organised by CES College of Arts and Commerce.
