ESIC Dental College is a public dental college started in 2017 on the Gulbarga University campus.
ESIC Dental College is a public institution run by the Employee's State Insurance Corporation under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India. The college was started in 2017 and is located on the Gulbarga University campus. Its vision is to be a premier dental institution in the country providing exemplary education committed to clinical excellence and advanced research in dentistry.
The college consists of nine departments: Oral Medicine and Dental Radiology, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics, Periodontics, Orthodontics, Pedodontics, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Public Health Dentistry, and Oral Pathology. The BDS course is five years, comprising a four-year course followed by one year of rotatory internship. The college's mission includes providing quality dental education through a well organised learning environment, preparing students to become competent dental professionals.
The college has a built-up area of 22923 sq metres across seven floors, on 50.The wider ESIC campus includes ESIC Medical College, ESIC College of Nursing, ESIC Para Medical College and ESIC Hospital, spread over 50 acres. Facilities include a central library, practical labs, demonstration rooms, lecture halls, an examination hall, and separate hostels for residents, boys, girls and nurses. A centrally air-conditioned amphitheatre with 2000 seats spans four floors.
07.2022. The college operates a well-equipped porcelain and ceramic laboratory that provides cost-effective dental prosthesis for patients. A mobile dental van is used to conduct free dental treatment camps in Gulbarga district.
Seats are filled through several routes: All India Quota (AIQ) via MCC counselling, State Quota via KEA counselling, and the ESIC Ward of Insured Person (IP) Quota.
