ETBU offers over 45 undergraduate programs and more than 15 graduate degrees through eight schools: B.H. Carroll Theological Seminary, Frank S. Groner School of Professional Studies, Fred Hale School of Business, School of Christian Studies and Humanities, School of Communication and Performing Arts, School of Education, School of Natural and Social Sciences, and Teague School of Nursing. ETBU competes in NCAA Division III as part of the American Southwest Conference. The Tigers field 14 men's sports (baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, track and field) and 10 women's sports (acrobatics and tumbling, basketball, beach volleyball, cross country, pom, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, volleyball), plus bass fishing. The live mascot, Sarge, is housed off-campus.
ETBU welcomes freshman, transfer, international, and graduate applicants. The university provides comprehensive support from recruitment through graduation, including academic advising, tutoring (ACE), disability accommodations, career services, and counseling.
