Academics
DCAC offers 18 undergraduate courses leading to Bachelor with Honours/Programme degrees across multiple disciplines including Commerce, Economics, English, Journalism, History, Political Science, Hindi, Mathematics, Computer Science, German, Spanish, Physical Education, and Environmental Studies. The college operates under CBCS mode and previously offered semester/FYUP modes. Add-on and self-financed courses are also available, including collaborations with Taxmann Academy for Tax & Accounting certification and with NSDC/Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana Scheme for skill development.
Campus & Infrastructure
The college occupies approximately 5 acres with 2.5 acres of built-up area in Netaji Nagar, New Delhi. The campus is well-connected via Delhi Metro stations (INA and AIIMS) and road transport. The fully automated library houses 62,842 books, subscribes to 23 magazines and 13 newspapers, and provides e-resource access through DULS and N-LIST. Additional facilities include computer labs, medical room, sports facilities, and separate reading rooms for faculty and students, all under CCTV surveillance.
Student Life & Support
The college maintains multiple student support cells including SC/ST Cell, OBC Cell, Women's Cell, Equal Opportunity Cell, and Northeast Students' Cell. Active student societies include Advertisement Society, Cultural Society, Enactus Society, FSE (Friday School of Economics), Gandhi Study Circle, MUN & Youth Parliament Society, Vyapaar Entrepreneurship Cell, and PRAKRITI Environment Society. Co-curricular activities include NCC, NSS, and Rovers & Rangers programs.
Placements & Outcomes
The Placement Cell 'Broadway' has operated for 12 years and is recognized as one of the top 10 placement cells in Delhi University. The cell conducts workshops on resume writing, interviews, and group discussions, and has facilitated placements with major corporate houses including EY, KPMG, PwC, S&P Global, Willis Towers Watson, Genpact, ITC Limited, L&T Constructions, Wipro, and Inshorts. Notable alumni include journalist Nalin Mehta, filmmaker Vinil Mathew, actor Cyrus Sahukar, and comedian Gursimran Khamba.
