Davidson-Davie Community College awards certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees across more than 50 programs organized into five schools: Arts, Sciences and Education; Business, Engineering & Technical Studies; Health, Wellness & Public Safety; Foundational Studies & Academic Support; and Community Education, Workforce Development & Entrepreneurship. The college maintains an open-door admissions policy, though some high-demand programs (selected health programs, Basic Law Enforcement training, Truck Driver training, and Zoo & Aquarium) have special requirements. As a member of the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement between the North Carolina Community College System and UNC System, credits transfer to four-year universities.
The college operates multiple campuses: the Davidson Campus in central Davidson County features 14 academic buildings, a learning resources center, fitness facility, and dining; the Davie Campus in Mocksville spans 45 acres with three academic buildings and hosts specialized programs in nursing, histotechnology, and welding. Additional locations include the Uptown Lexington Center and Thomasville Education Center. Student life includes over 31 clubs and organizations, cultural events through the Prism Series, and intramural sports. The college fields men's basketball and women's volleyball teams competing in NJCAA Division II, Region 10.
Davidson-Davie follows an open-door admissions policy accepting all applicants, with a multi-step process: complete residency determination, submit the application for admission, complete FAFSA, request transcripts, activate StormTrac ID, and complete orientation. Priority service dates are published for each term. The Admissions Office is located in the B.E. Mendenhall Jr. Building and operates Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
The Davidson-Davie Community College Foundation, established in 1968, is a non-profit organization supporting program development and scholarships with $9.5 million in funds. The college provides basic skills training, GED programs, and customized workforce development through its Small Business Center and Continuing Education offerings. Over 75% of students receive some form of financial aid.
