CUNY SPH offers a comprehensive suite of graduate programs accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health. Master's programs include MPH degrees in Community Health, Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Policy and Management, and Public Health Nutrition, alongside MS degrees in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, Global and Migrant Health Policy, Population Health Informatics, and Health Communication for Social Change. Doctoral offerings include PhD programs in Community Health and Health Policy, Environmental and Planetary Health Sciences, and Epidemiology. The school also provides specializations in Maternal, Child, Reproductive, and Sexual Health, and certificates in Public Health and Industrial Hygiene.
Faculty are actively engaged with multiple research centers and institutes including the CUNY Urban Food Policy Institute, Institute for Implementation Science in Population Health, Center for Immigrant, Refugee, and Global Health, Healthy CUNY Initiative, Center for Innovation in Mental Health, CUNY Center for Systems and Community Design, and the NYU-CUNY Research Prevention Center. The school maintains a Human Research Protection Program and offers opportunities for students to participate in ongoing research initiatives.
The school is located in Harlem at 55 West 125th Street, serving an urban student population. Student services include career services, counseling and wellness services, writing assistance, quantitative tutoring, and library services. The Graduate Student Government Association (GSGA) provides student governance, and Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health recognizes academic achievement. Additional support includes the CUNY Immigration Assistance Program, lactation support rooms, and accessibility services.
The school accepts graduate students for master's and doctoral programs, with specific admissions requirements varying by program.
