Crandall University is a Christian university in Moncton, New Brunswick, offering undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs.
Crandall University was founded in 1949 in Moncton, New Brunswick, as the United Baptist Bible Training School by the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada, which continues to support the university and elect appointments to its Board of Governors. The university's mission is transforming lives through quality university education firmly rooted in the Christian faith. Its address is 333 Gorge Rd, Moncton, NB, E1C 9L7.
In 1970 the institution was renamed Atlantic Baptist College. In 1983 the New Brunswick Legislature granted the College a charter and authority to offer baccalaureate degrees. Amendments in 2008 and 2010 permitted degrees beyond the baccalaureate level and changed the name to Crandall University, in honour of Joseph Crandall, who founded several Baptist churches in the greater Moncton area during the mid 1800s.
Crandall offers undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs. Undergraduate programs include Arts, Arts & Science, Business Administration, Organizational Management, Science, and Theology. Graduate programs include Master of Education and Master of Management, with graduate degrees in Organizational Management and Education offered since 2013. The Senate determines all academic standards, and classes are kept small so students get to know their professors.
In 1996 the College moved from its original Salisbury Road campus to a new 200-acre campus on Gorge Road, on land donated by Mrs. Ruth Colburne. Campus facilities include the George A. Rawlyk Library, Colburne House Residence, Mitton Court Apartments, a Dining Room, Corrie's Café, and campus wireless internet.
Admission routes include high school admission for Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration and Science, Early Fall Admission, admission for homeschooled applicants, IB/AP credit assessment, and transfer admission.
