COA offers credit programs leading to associate degrees and certificates, as well as noncredit workforce development and continuing education classes. Featured credit programs include Associate Degree Nursing (RN), Basic Law Enforcement Training, and Teacher Preparation. The college also provides Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language, High School Equivalency, and Adult High School programs through its College and Career Readiness initiative. Specialized programs include Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Assisting, Surgical Technology, Dental Assisting, Computer Integrated Machining, and Marine Diesel Engine Repair.
COA operates four geographically distributed campuses across northeastern North Carolina, enabling access for students in rural and coastal communities.
