CSN provides comprehensive education across six schools: Advanced and Applied Technologies, Arts and Letters, Business/Hospitality/Public Services, Education/Behavioral/Social Sciences, Health Sciences, and Science/Engineering/Mathematics. The college offers over 189 programs of study with 15 bachelor's degrees and more than 180 degree and certificate options. With a student-to-faculty ratio of 23:1, CSN emphasizes personalized learning and has maintained accreditation by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities since 1975.
CSN operates three main campuses in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson, plus 10+ learning centers throughout Clark County and southern Nevada. The student body is diverse: 41% Hispanic, 25% White, 11% Black, 9% Asian, and 8% two or more races (Fall 2024). CSN became a Minority Serving Institution (AANAPISI) in 2014 and Nevada's first Hispanic Serving Institution in 2015. Students enjoy clubs, organizations, recreation facilities, and the Coyote Cupboard food assistance program.
CSN Coyotes compete in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (NJCAA Division I) with five varsity sports: men's baseball, men's soccer, women's soccer, women's softball, and women's volleyball. The baseball program, established in 2000, won the 2003 NJCAA Junior College World Series—CSN's only national championship to date. Notable alumni include MLB first-round draft pick Bryce Harper (2010) and professional baseball players Phil Bickford and Thomas Pannone.
CSN welcomes first-time college students, transfer students, high school early college participants, international students, veterans, and non-credit learners.
