TouroCOM offers a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Sciences, and Pathologists' Assistant (PathA) Master's program. The school employs a flipped classroom model, allowing students to engage with material online and use in-class time for hands-on learning and problem-solving. In 2021, TouroCOM Harlem achieved the #1 first-time pass rate on COMLEX-USA Level 1 among osteopathic colleges. The curriculum emphasizes holistic, integrated healthcare and osteopathic philosophy.
The school operates three distinct campuses: Harlem (urban, diverse patient populations), Middletown (suburban Hudson Valley community), and Great Falls (rural Montana with state-of-the-art facilities). DO applicants apply through AACOMAS on a rolling basis with a March 1st deadline. For the Class of 2020, the school received 6,574 applications for 292 first-year positions. No early decision program is offered. MS applicants apply directly through Touro's online system with a June 15th deadline. PathA applicants (Harlem only) must have a bachelor's degree with science/math prerequisites and documented shadowing hours; deadline is June 1st. The school prioritizes students committed to serving underserved communities.
In May 2024, 124 graduates achieved a 99% residency match rate. Approximately 60% of TouroCOM graduates pursue primary care careers. Graduates secure residencies and placements at top hospitals across the country. The school's inaugural class graduated in 2011; Middletown's first class graduated in 2018. Students apply to residency programs through NRMP, AOA Match, Military Match, and other matching programs.
