College of Nursing, Nirmala Medical Centre was established in 2011 as a private educational institute to provide higher education for careers in nursing. It is a unit of Nirmala Medical Society and is managed by FCC Sisters Kothamangalam Province. The college is affiliated with INC, KNMC and KUHS.
History
The GNM course was started in 2003 and is running with a full intake of 30 seats. The B.Sc Nursing programme was started in 2011 with 50 seats.
Academics
The college runs two courses: the GNM programme and the BSc Nursing 4 Yrs Programme. The BSc Nursing programme has 50 seats, of which 25 are Government and 25 are Management seats. Eligibility requires passing +2 with 50% marks in the PCB combination. The college's vision is to proclaim the compassionate love and care of Jesus, and its mission is to educate young ladies to serve humanity with Christian values, providing medical services at the level of global standards.
Campus & Facilities
The college is situated in the Nirmala Medical Centre Campus, which includes a library with a wide collection of books, journals, magazines and CDs, broadband Internet, a modern Computer Lab, well-equipped nursing labs, multimedia rooms, classrooms and a Chapel. The campus has hostel facilities and facilities for indoor and outdoor games. Clinical training is conducted at multi-specialty hospitals, and the parent hospital has 300 beds. The college also conducts personality development courses and spirituality programs for students' physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
