Colby Community College offers more than 50 academic programs culminating in Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Applied Science degrees, along with technical certificates and certificates of completion. Strengths include transfer education, agriculture and agribusiness, nursing and allied health, veterinary nursing, business, education, and alternative energy programs. Courses are available in traditional, hybrid, and fully online formats through ColbyConnect, with NC-SARA authorization for out-of-state online enrollment.
The college operates a 57-acre main campus in Colby with an additional 60-acre agricultural center providing hands-on training. Student housing is available with a new 80-bed facility scheduled to open fall 2027. Campus life includes NJCAA Division I athletics (basketball, wrestling, volleyball, track, cross country, softball, baseball, and rodeo), clubs, organizations, counseling, food service, and health services. The college serves students from Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, and across the United States.
Colby Community College maintains an open admission policy for applicants with a high school diploma or GED. International students follow a separate application process. The college offers flexible enrollment options and provides personalized advising through the Trojan Advising Center. More than 90 percent of students receive some form of financial assistance, with over one-third receiving scholarships including the Colby Commitment Scholarship.
