Coimbatore Institute of Technology

Coimbatore Institute of Technology is a private institution in Coimbatore, established in 1956. Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) was established in 1956 by the V. Rangaswamy Naidu Educational Trust (VRET) and is one of Tamil Nadu's most respected engineering institutions. The 69-acre campus hosts 14 departments offering programmes from core engineering to integrated M.Sc., MCA, and MBA. CIT has held autonomous status since 1987 and is currently affiliated with Anna University, Chennai.
