Christian College of Georgia is a denominational seminary affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The institution is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees comprising twelve members selected from the Christian Church membership in Georgia, including three Christian Church leaders, one Licensed Minister, and eight Ordained Ministers. Central to the College's mission is partnership with the Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Georgia, supporting ministries through educational programs for ministry and leader development.
The College is authorized by the State of Georgia to grant diplomas, certificates, and degrees in religion, religious studies, and disciplines related to Christian Ministry. Educational offerings are developed in consultation with congregations and clergy throughout the Region to ensure alignment with the College's mission and regional ministry needs.
The College's offices are located in Statham, Georgia, in a historic sanctuary originally constructed in 1900 and restored by the College in 1997. The property was received from the Statham Christian Church upon its closing in 1997. The College previously maintained a campus in Athens, which was sold between 1989 and 1997 to establish the College's endowment.
The College is funded through gifts from congregations and individuals, as well as an endowment created and sustained by benefactor contributions. The majority of endowment funds originated from the sale of the Athens campus between 1989 and 1997.
