Chipola College offers Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees, as well as Bachelor of Science degrees in Business, Education, and Nursing. The college maintains nine academic departments including Business & Technology, Fine and Performing Arts, Health Sciences, and Workforce Development. The institution is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, with reaffirmation in 2018.
The 56,000-square-foot Prough Center for the Arts, opened in 2012, features two theaters and serves as a hub for fine and performing arts. The rural campus includes seventeen buildings, outdoor physical education fields, and a pool. Athletic teams compete in the Panhandle Conference of the NJCAA Region 8, with particular strength in basketball and academic competition through the Brain Bowl team.

The college has produced numerous professional athletes and public figures, including MLB players José Bautista, Russell Martin, and Patrick Corbin; NBA players Justin Brownlee and Casey Mitchell; and Florida Supreme Court Justice Ricky Polston. The basketball program achieved a #1 national ranking for 10 consecutive weeks in 2007 and finished runner-up in the NJCAA National Championship game that season.
