Chandigarh University is a not-for-profit, UGC-recognized private university located on the NH-05 Chandigarh-Ludhiana Highway in Mohali, Punjab.
Chandigarh University is a full-fledged university established by the Punjab State Legislature and included in the list of universities maintained by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f). It has the right to confer degrees under Section 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956. The university is a not-for-profit institution, and its name is inspired by The City Beautiful, Chandigarh.
