CEPT University comprises six faculties addressing the full spectrum of human environments. The Faculty of Architecture (est. 1962) focuses on design in the private realm; Planning (1972) addresses public realm planning and policy; Technology (1982) concentrates on engineering and building systems; Design (1991) engages with products, crafts, and communication; Management (2013) focuses on habitat and project management; and the Foundation Program (2017) provides a common first-year foundation for all undergraduates. The university offers 4 undergraduate programs, 18 postgraduate programs, 3 doctoral programs, and 20+ professional programs. Teaching is studio-centred, fostering critical thinking, professional judgment, and ethical responsibility through a self-curated, choice-based curriculum with over 100 specialized courses.
The CEPT campus at Kasturbhai Lalbhai, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, is a living laboratory designed by renowned architects including Pritzker Prize laureate B.V. Doshi, Rahul Mehrotra, Christopher Benninger, and Gurdev Singh. The campus features open courtyards, shaded corridors, thoughtfully designed learning spaces, and lush landscapes that merge informal spaces, studios, and green areas to foster creativity. The campus serves as an open, interconnected learning environment and welcomes prospective students, researchers, professionals, educators, and institutional delegations through individual visits, group engagements, and a 360° virtual tour.

Admissions are open for undergraduate programs (B.Arch, B.Des, BID, BCE, BUD), postgraduate programs (18 master's programs), doctoral programs (PhD in Planning, Technology, Architecture), and higher-level admissions for undergraduate programs. CEPT ranks 6th in NIRF 2025 and is the only private university in India's top 10 since 2020. It holds a 5-star plus rating in GSIRF 2024 (Gujarat). The university is UGC-recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 (since 2007), and recognized by DSIR as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO). It has been designated a Centre of Excellence by Gujarat (2022) and is one of four Centres of Excellence in Urban Planning and Design recognized by the Government of India (since 2023).
