The Centre de formation professionnelle des Îles is a public institution operated by the Centre de services scolaire des Îles. Since 2006, the centre's adult education department and the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles, through Groupe Collegia, have united their business services activities in the Îles territory. Since 2015, the centre has been part of a grouping of eight school service centres in the BSL-GÎM region that share a common offer of recognition of prior learning programs.
The centre offers general adult education from the presecondary level through secondary cycles, along with preparation for vocational and postsecondary studies. Its training offer is flexible and modular, intended for adults with family or work responsibilities.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old on June 30 of the current year. No registration fees are required for general adult education courses, except for the purchase of course books. Students whose daily schedule includes five consecutive class periods may ride the school bus, subject to available seats.
