The Centre St-Ex is a vocational training centre in Saint-Léonard, Quebec, offering professional, adult general and francisation programs.
The Centre St-Ex is located at 8585, rue du Pré-Laurin in Saint-Léonard, Quebec. It offers vocational training programs, general adult education and francisation to a diverse clientele. The centre's educational project covers 2023-2027.
The centre has more than 35 years of history. It was initially set up within the premises of the École secondaire Antoine-de-Saint-Exupéry, whose construction began in 1971 and which was inaugurated in 1973. The establishment was then under the Commission scolaire Jérôme-Le Royer, a confessional school board that preceded the linguistic school boards set up during the 1998 reform. In autumn 2002, a major expansion of the facilities allowed a significant diversification of the training offer, with a new wing called Bloc G, which houses the main student entrance, the administrative offices and the cafeteria.
The centre trained more than 1,000 preposed caregivers (préposées et préposés aux bénéficiaires) during the pandemic period. In February 2006, the DEP Assistance aux bénéficiaires en établissement de santé (DEP 5081) program began, offered in collaboration with another school board. In March 2023, the centre obtained authorization to offer the DEP Santé, assistance et soins infirmiers (DEP 5325 – SASI). From October 2025, it began offering the updated DEP Électromécanique de systèmes automatisés (DEP 5388).
The centre includes a hair salon and an esthetics clinic used for training. It is undertaking modernization of its pedagogical mini-factory, which will soon be equipped with a palletizing robot.
The centre admits foreign students arriving from outside Canada.
