Cégep de St-Hyacinthe is a public college in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, offering preuniversity and technical study programs.
In June 1968, the regrouping of collegiate education from several institutions gave birth to the Collège d'enseignement général et professionnel de Saint-Hyacinthe. The Cégep moved into its current premises in 1975. During the 1970s, it formed the Collège régional Bourgchemin with the cégeps of Drummondville and Sorel-Tracy. The Cégep regained its autonomy in 1980 after the regionalization period, which lasted nearly ten years.
The college's mission is to train autonomous, committed and responsible people, support them in pursuing higher studies, and prepare them to enter the job market. Its vision is to be a welcoming and inclusive college that stimulates success.
The college offers 6 preuniversity study programs and 15 technical study programs. Preuniversity programs last two years, or four semesters. Technical programs last three years, or six semesters.
The college is located at 3000, avenue Boullé in Saint-Hyacinthe, near Autoroute 20. Its facilities include a library and media centre, team work rooms, audiovisual equipment, laptop loans, a swimming pool, a sports complex, and a synthetic multisport field.
