Canadian Flight Centre is a flight school serving Vancouver, Kamloops, and Red Deer, offering pilot training since 1979.
Canadian Flight Centre (CFC) has operated since 1979 with the vision of sharing the dream of flying with everyone, not just a privileged few. Its stated mission is to promote flying for fun and career. The school serves customers from three locations: Vancouver, BC, Kamloops, BC, and Red Deer, AB. Its main address is at Pitt Meadows Regional Airport in Pitt Meadows, BC.
The school has served the Vancouver Lower Mainland since 1979. At a time when highly specialized training was needed for professional pilots seeking airline jobs, CFC became one of the first schools with a focus on instrument flying and other advanced training.
CFC offers a 3-year Airline Pilot Diploma program for students of all backgrounds. Its Professional Pilot Program takes students from zero to flying a multi-engine aircraft with instrument ratings. Students can earn University Credits with Thompson River University. CFC describes itself as Canada's only full Airline pilot program (ATPL).
CFC operates 25+ aircraft of 10 different types, and all aircraft are equipped with Terrain Warning Systems for increased safety. Facilities listed include a Precision Flight Controls simulator, a Precision Flight Controls CAT II unit, and a Kamloops Airport campus. CFC has also installed a solar panel on its Kamloops hangar as part of its environmental commitments.
CFC is regulated by Transport Canada and holds a Flight Training Unit (FTU) Operating Certificate, FTU number 0454. It is a Designated Learning Institution by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU), designated by the British Columbia Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills, and a certified post-secondary institution by the Alberta Ministry of Advanced Education.
