Canadian Flight Centre is a flight school serving students in British Columbia and Alberta since 1979.
Canadian Flight Centre (CFC) was established in 1979 with the vision of sharing the dream of flying with everyone, not just a privileged few. The school promotes flying for fun and career by providing a safe and enjoyable environment, superior flight training, equipment that exceeds customers' expectations, and professional staff eager to go the extra mile. Peter Schlieck is President and CEO.
CFC has served the Vancouver Lower Mainland since 1979. During this period, it became one of the first schools with a focus on instrument flying and other advanced training.
CFC offers a 3-year Airline Pilot Diploma program for students of all backgrounds. The school has university credits with Thompson River University.
CFC serves students from three locations: Vancouver, BC, Kamloops, BC, and Red Deer, AB. The school operates 25 or more aircraft of 10 different types, and pilot house accommodation is available. CFC has solar panel installation on its Kamloops hangar. A location in Pitt Meadows, BC is also listed.
CFC holds a Transport Canada Flight Training Unit (FTU) Operating Certificate, FTU number 0454, as well as an Aerial Work and Air Taxi (Charter) Operating Certificate. It is a Designated Learning Institution by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) and a certified post-secondary institution by the Alberta Ministry of Advanced Education. CFC also holds Student Aid BC accreditation number APBS and is certified by the Laos Aviation Authority for official flight training and flight testing.
