The campus opened its doors in 1965. It was designed and built as one of three post-secondary teaching campuses, alongside the Scolasticat central de Montréal and the Séminaire Saint-Augustin. The Frères were recognized for their attention to the environment in choosing the site and architectural design.
The college offers a variety of study programs and personalized services. Its programs include preuniversity (DEC), professional and technical (DEC and DEP), and continuing education (AEC) programs. The college hosts the Centre RISC, a centre for research and innovation in civil security.

Sports facilities include the Stade Leclerc and the Stade Unibéton. The campus describes itself as a unique achievement in Catholic education worldwide, being the only inter-community project of this scale.
The college offers several admission routes, including admission by rounds for candidates from Québec and Canada, selection-test programs with restricted intake, music programs with theory tests and auditions, and late admissions. Some programs require auditions and tests, with applications due before August 4.
