Academics
CNMC offers undergraduate MBBS and postgraduate medical programs across 30+ clinical and pre-clinical departments. Pre-clinical departments include Anatomy, Biochemistry, and Physiology. Para-clinical departments cover Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, and Forensic Medicine. Clinical specialties range from General Medicine and Surgery to specialized fields including Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, and Psychiatry. The college also offers Dentistry and paramedical courses.
Campus & Infrastructure
The college operates from two locations: the main campus at DD-36, Sector-1, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700064, and the hospital at 32 Gorachand Road, Beniapukur. The central library operates from 8 AM to 8 PM and houses over 23,000 books with seating for 200 undergraduate and 100 postgraduate students. Facilities include internet access, faculty reading rooms, and a water ATM on campus. The institution maintains a Central Research Lab and specialized equipment for various departments.
Admissions
The college conducts admissions for MBBS under both All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota (SQ) pathways. Postgraduate admissions include PG programs under AIQ and SQ, as well as super-specialty courses. Admissions follow NEET-based selection and WBUHS registration requirements. The college also offers paramedical courses with separate admission processes.
Administration
The institution is led by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Subhra Mitra, with Prof. (Dr.) Arghya Maitra as MSVP and Prof. (Dr.) Swati Bhattacharyya as Dean of Student's Affairs. The college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences, headed by Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Suhrita Pal and Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Indrajit Gupta.
