BridgeValley grants more than 22 associate degrees and 17 certificates across healthcare and technology disciplines. The college's nursing program, launched in fall 2005, is one of the largest producers of nurses for the Kanawha Valley region and holds accreditation from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. The institution is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and maintains approval from the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses.
The South Charleston campus, located at 2001 Union Carbide Drive at the South Charleston Technology Park, occupies three buildings including the Advanced Technology Center (Toyota Hall). The Montgomery campus is located in Davis Hall at 619 2nd Avenue and serves the upper Kanawha Valley region. Both campuses maintain independent course offerings and serve approximately 2,000 students combined.
BridgeValley was formed in 2014 through the merger of Kanawha Valley Community and Technical College (established 1953, formerly West Virginia State Community and Technical College) and Bridgemont Community and Technical College (established 1966, formerly Community College at West Virginia Institute of Technology). The merger consolidated administration while maintaining both campuses and all course offerings.
