Academics

BPCC offers programs across four academic divisions: Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; Business and Information Technology; Nursing and Allied Health; and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The college provides associate degree programs and workforce training through its Workforce Solutions division. Notable recent recognition includes being named Louisiana's top cybersecurity associate degree program for 2026. The college also partners with Amazon Career Choice to deliver high-tech industrial credentials and has received grants to expand rural nursing workforce training.

Admissions & Student Support

BPCC uses multiple placement methods including high school GPA, ACT/SAT scores, and departmental exams to place students in appropriate Math and English courses. The college offers comprehensive academic advising through its Academic Advising Center, with advisors organized by division and student last name. New students complete a registration checklist including FAFSA completion, placement testing, advisor consultation, and new student orientation. The M.J. Foster Promise Program provides financial assistance for eligible students in qualified programs.

Campus & Facilities

The main campus is located at 6220 East Texas Street in Bossier City, positioned 1.5 miles west of Louisiana Downs on U.S. Highway 80. The college operates additional campuses in Natchitoches and Sabine Valley. On-campus facilities include the Learning Commons Library, Performing Arts Theatre, Cavalier Care Center, and various academic buildings. Campus tours are available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 9am and 3pm, with group tours offered Tuesday and Thursday.
