The college was established in 1982. It has held a permanent affiliation with the Bihar Government since 1988. The Bar Council of India has granted it permanent affiliation for law courses, and its provisional approval of affiliation for the 3-year LL.B. course has been extended until the academic year 2026-27.
Academics
The college offers a Three-Year LL.B. course, a Five-Year B.A. LL.B. (Hons) course, and a two-year LL.M. course. The 3-year LL.B. requires a graduate entry qualification, while the 5-year B.A. LL.B. requires a +2 pass. Courses are offered in English and Hindi medium.
