Academics
BMSCE offers 13 undergraduate B.E. programs including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Industrial Engineering & Management, Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Medical Electronics, Chemical, Bio-Technology, Aerospace Engineering, and emerging specializations in AI/ML, Data Science, and IoT. Postgraduate offerings include 16 programs: M.Tech, MBA, MCA, and M.Sc. across multiple departments. The college also offers Ph.D. programs and has autonomous status with curriculum designed to produce industry-ready engineers.
Research & Innovation
The college maintains active research centers including the B.S. Narayan Centre for Nano-Materials & Displays, Centre of Excellence in Photovoltaic Systems, and B.S. Narayan Center of Excellence in AI and ML. Multiple innovation labs operate including 3D Printing Lab, Aerospace Propel Lab, Robotics and Embedded Systems Lab, and Polymer Composites Lab. The institution has funded research projects, published journal articles, filed patents, and awarded Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees through dedicated research centers.
Campus & Infrastructure
The Bengaluru campus is located in Basavanagudi on Bull Temple Road and features a BMS Hospital, comprehensive library, student hostels, data center, and sports facilities. The campus includes the Platinum Jubilee Block housing the International Division and admissions office. A counselling center supports student welfare. The college maintains well-qualified and experienced faculty with committed support staff dedicated to providing effective education and development opportunities.
Admissions
Admissions are offered for undergraduate B.E. programs, postgraduate M.Tech/MBA/MCA, and Ph.D. programs. Management quota seats are available for 2026-27 academic year. International students holding OCI status or foreign passports can apply through the International Division. Scholarships are available for students born in UK, US, or Australia holding foreign passports. Admissions follow CET, COMEDK, and management quota pathways for undergraduate programs.
Placements & Outcomes
BMSCE achieved 1st rank among top 50 institutes on placements in The Times Engineering Institute 2019 survey. The college maintains a dedicated placement cell providing training and placement support. Alumni occupy coveted positions in reputed organizations both in India and abroad, serving as ambassadors of change.
