Bhaskaracharya College offers 11 B.Sc. (Hons.) undergraduate programs including Computer Science, Electronics Science, Instrumentation, Food Technology, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, and Polymer Science. Campus & Infrastructure
The college occupies a spacious 10-acre campus in Sector 2, Dwarka, featuring 12 departments with three laboratories each. Facilities include a three-floor library spanning 3,396 linear feet with 26,320+ volumes, an audio-visual hall, conference room, open-air amphitheatre, and indoor/outdoor sports facilities. The library is automated with KOHA software, RFID technology, and provides free air-conditioned internet access with 20 computers. Additional amenities include a canteen, open gymnasium, facilities for differently-abled students, and waste management systems.
Admissions
Admissions for 2025-26 follow University of Delhi's centralized system (CSAS). The college maintains seat distribution with reservations as per government norms. Eligibility criteria, documents required, and detailed guidelines are available on the official website. Special provisions exist for ECA/Sports admissions. Fee structure for 2026-27 is published online with options for online payment and fee concession schemes for eligible students.
Placements & Outcomes
In 2023-24, 399 outgoing students were tracked: 174 progressed to higher education and 31 secured placements through campus drives and university placement processes. The college emphasizes advanced studies, with students also pursuing competitive examinations and self-employment. The Placement Cell coordinates with the University of Delhi's Central Placement Cell to facilitate both employment and higher education pathways.
Recognition & Achievements
The college has received NAAC accreditation and maintains NIRF rankings. Recent accomplishments include Certificate of Recognition and Champion of Harit Umang badge (2026) from Panasonic, MOU on Augmented and Virtual Reality, and appreciation from the Microbiologist Society of India. An alumnus (Maj. Sachin Negi, Physics 2009-11) received the Shaurya Chakra, India's third-highest gallantry award.
