Baruch College operates three academic schools offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. The Zicklin School of Business grants BBA degrees in 19 business areas, MBA in 14 areas, and MS in 8 programs. The Weissman School of Arts and Sciences offers BA degrees in over 27 disciplines, plus MA and MS degrees in specialized fields. The Marxe School of Public and International Affairs provides BS in Public Affairs, MPA, Executive MPA, MIA, and MSEd in Higher Education Administration. Doctoral programs in Business and Industrial-Organizational Psychology are offered through the CUNY Graduate Center.
The college occupies a 3-acre urban campus in lower Manhattan, served by the 23rd Street–Baruch College and 28th Street subway stations. Key facilities include the Newman Vertical Campus (17-story, 786,000 sq ft, opened 2001), the Lawrence and Eris Field Building (23rd Street), and the Information and Technology Building housing the William and Anita Newman Library. Student life includes over 130 clubs and organizations, the student newspaper The Ticker (since 1932), and the Mishkin Gallery. The college competes in NCAA Division III as the Bearcats.
Baruch College employs a holistic admissions process, considering standardized test scores, GPA, teacher recommendations, essays, and extracurricular activities. For 2022, admitted students averaged a 3.7 GPA with SAT scores of 1170–1350 and ACT average of 27. The college maintains a 43% acceptance rate and a 70% six-year graduation rate.
