Culinary and hospitality college in Baltimore that operated 1972–2011 before acquisition by Stratford University.
Baltimore International College offered specialized degree programs focused on Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. The college was accredited by the American Culinary Federation and maintained accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools until August 31, 2011, when it lost accreditation due to unaddressed issues from a 2007 review.
The main campus was located in downtown Baltimore near the Inner Harbor. The college owned and operated two full-service hotels—the Mount Vernon Hotel and Hopkins Inn—as well as the Bay Atlantic Club, which provided breakfast and lunch service, dine-in dining, and banquet facilities. A 100-acre satellite campus operated in County Cavan, Ireland, with the Park Hotel. Student housing was provided in Dublin Hall, located within the Mount Vernon Hotel.
The college enrolled approximately 800 students, with slightly more than half (52 percent) being male. Students had access to on-campus housing through Dublin Hall.
Baltimore International College was acquired by Stratford University in January 2012, and its former campuses became Stratford University locations. Stratford University subsequently closed operations due to bankruptcy in February 2023, ending the legacy of the institution.
