BGU offers five graduate degree programs: Doctor of Transformational Leadership (DTL), Doctor of Ministry (DMin), Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership (MATL), Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), and Ph.D. in Innovative Urban Leadership. Programs emphasize Christian theology, urban development, and sustainable business with customized learning paths. Courses are delivered through four methods: city immersions (12–15 days in global cities), online assisted learning with video conferences and mentoring, local small groups, and subject-matter expert mentoring. All programs incorporate eight Transformational Leadership Perspectives and engage seven niche areas of expertise within the BGU network.
BGU serves a truly global student body across 65+ nations, with over 70% of faculty, students, and alumni located outside North America. Students are not required to relocate; they study from their home countries while participating in occasional city immersions on six continents and connecting with peers across eight time zones. The university maintains a distributed faculty and staff network in Africa, Asia, Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, and South America. Graduates pursue careers as pastors, consultants, authors, urban ministers, professors, and justice activists.
BGU is a global university educating students in their own nations and does not provide Form I-20 visas or encourage relocation to the United States. Applicants should review the BGU Catalog and Student Handbook before applying. Non-native English speakers must submit a TOEFL score or request a waiver. BGU is accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
